Reference measurements at the IPN in Cologne

Last weekend, the movX team was a guest at the Institute for Prevention and Aftercare (IPN) in Cologne for a joint workshop to perform reference measurements with the movX system and to exchange information about the possibilities of integrating bio-feedback training in everyday life using modern sensor technologies.

The team under the direction of Elmar Trunz and Sebastian Ochs has been engaged in research and development of professional analysis and training systems for almost 30 years to support people on their way to a healthier posture or movement and a better quality of life.

By positioning itself as a practice-oriented health service provider as well as numerous partnerships with companies and institutions in the field of health promotion, the IPN acts as a link between business, science and the health-conscious individual.

Over the past years, various customized and successful solutions have been developed for customers – always with high quality standards and the goal of promoting health and quality of life.

movX is hitting the bull’s eye, because we too have made it our mission to not only detect incorrect postures and movements with our self-developed sensor technology, but to avoid them in the long term with suitable bio-feedback training. In combination with a mobile app, the patient gets his own virtual doctor or therapist at his side, who helps him to prevent imbalances and malpositions in the musculoskeletal system at an early stage and to treat them as gently as possible.

This approach could also open up completely new possibilities for the IPN in the mobile and above all holistic accompaniment of everyday life, in addition to the previous specialization in one- to several-day health events. Starting with support and simplification in diagnostics, through more closely meshed monitoring of training progress to automatic reporting with individual evaluation, there are almost no limits.

It was a very interesting and profitable workshop for all participants, which has already resulted in numerous starting points for potential future projects.

We will keep you up to date! 🙂
